Napping Perfection.

Y'all know I love a good nap.  Whether it's at work.. or face down on the lawn (or the hill outside the undergrad lib with RSJ in college)... I'm always game for an amazing mid-day nap.

And how absolutely perfect would these be to have around to fall asleep in..?

My dream kitchen.

...At least until I settle down and get married.  I die over this kitchen -- I would love to (1) have it as big and tricked out as this and (2) have it be hot. fucking. pink.  When in my life beyond my single 20s will I ever be able to pull this off:?  A.dore.

Adoring in Decor

How lovely is this Ferm Living Wall Paper.  It's easy to apply, and wallpaper these days isn't what it used to be.  Especially if I'm living in the same place for the next 4 years, I really want to do something that feels a little more permanent.  Can't you see these gorgeous pieces on an accent wall somewhere?

The Bar.

Now, I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker (mostly a wine and beer girl), however, in my new home (where ever in NoLa it is), I want to have a fully (or almost fully) stocked bar.  I think it's a crucial entertaining piece, albeit a little expensive, but for a small get together.. it would be nice to have.  Also, having all different kinds of booze around would give me a reason to try some really fun drinks I keep seeing over at eat make read for their happy hour posts.. such as the blood orange gimlet seen below.

I've come across some pretty stellar looking bars and here some of my favs:

You're so Vain.

Moms gave me this gorgeous vanity table and bench a while back, and it has always traveled with me.. but I've never quite used it for its purpose. Currently, it's holding a lot of my jewelry, and some stacks of magazines.. but in no real orderly manner. Once I move into my new apartment in NOLA this summer, I definitely want to use it for a vanity. Mirror, organization and all. I love these images above and can't wait to really use mine.

Mini Poms.

Here's a mini preview of the mini-poms I've been working on. I'm throwing my cousin BMW (just realized those were her married initials.. huh!) a baby shower in a few weekends and I wanted to make a garland for a cute decoration. We don't know the sex of the baby until it's born (and the Scrap Exchange didn't have green or yellow fabric) so I think these colors work well for this occasion. Look forward to the finished product soon!

Wall Decor I Love

Now that I'm moving in about 6 months (!) I'm starting to think of what I want in a new home. Ideally, I want to pick a place I'm going to live in for the whole 4 years -- which would be the longest place I've ever lived in since I was 15. I'm really looking forward to painting the walls -- something I never did before b/c I didn't want to have to repaint it 11 months later -- and really moving in and making it home.

I wish I could have done that with apartments past, but once I know it's very temporary, I stop decorating and focus on the move. My current apartment is all unpacked, but barely decorated -- I've just lost motivation on getting it together since I'm out the door in a few months.

So, in the effort to living like an adult, and making the big move, I found some cute (and most is diy!) wall decor I would love to utilize in my new place. I love all the possibilities of having a new place!

UO Furnishings I love..

I'm moving into a new (somewhat smaller) apartment next week, still in Durham. I've been quite spoiled in my current apartment with a fireplace (unused), personal washer/dryer, granite countertops, and all new appliances.. all wrapped in the perfect loft apartment downtown. We've had some good times.. however, all the amenities come with a fairly high price which takes a paycheck and a half to pay for.. so it's time to move on.

My new pad will need some strict utilization of every little open space.. but before I spend a ton of time looking into storage items.. I wanted to treat myself to some of the cute things Urban Outfitters have for the apartment.
